Orders
Urinalysis (consider direct eyeballs for casts if vasculitis suspect)
Consider imaging (US vs CT) for obstruction
Urine Na, FeNa, FeUrea
UOP checks
IVF or diuresis

Remember that white cells does not just mean UTI (i.e. AIN)

Does work in slowly progressing AKI, CKD, or liver disease

Treatment

Avoid nephrotoxic medications
Redose medications
Indications for Dialysis
Desmopressin if uremic and bleeding
Diuretics manage volume, but do not help kidney

Type of RRT

Prognosis
AKI leads to greater increase in CKD and ESRD
